We fundamentally believe that better outcomes behind the chair and better business education can help you create a better income. At Summit, we’ll cover all of the fundamentals of building a business that runs well and works for you. That means marketing and social media, retention programs, referral programs, policy & expectation setting, learning how to take great pictures, business analytics to understand relative service profitability, strategies for pricing and price increases, tips for tough conversations, and more.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
Learn directly from our product formulators, Jack Winn (our Founder/CEO)! You'll hear what makes our products different, how we approach product development, why we choose certain ingredients, what we require of the labs and manufacturers we work with, etc. We'll also go deep into formulation, cover getting the most out of each product JWP offers, talk about which clients need which products, and give you sneak peeks of future releases.
CUT & COLOR TECHNIQUE
We'll cover what trends are heading your way and how to achieve them. With Kimberly Michelle (Creative Director) and the help of our talented crew of National Educators, our segments on cut and style techniques, blonding, color, balayage, and more are always crowd favorites. They'll get you up to speed on some of the newest tips and techniques to build your skillset behind the chair, and they'll also talk about the latest runway trends (and how to make them salon-friendly).
EDUCATE THE EDUCATOR
Alongside product knowledge and technique, Certified Educators are called upon to — well, educate! Jack and our National Educators have taught hundreds of classes themselves and groomed hundreds of educators in this industry — and they'll be sharing their expertise with you. Topics will include best practices for hosting and promoting a class, frameworks for class structure, tips for teaching in the classroom and one-on-one settings, presentation skills, personal elevator pitch development, & more.
COMMUNITY, CONNECTION & FUN
During breaks and outside of sessions, you'll get to know like-minded stylists from all over the country. You may have previously connected with many stylists from our community online, but nothing compares to meeting these amazing stylists face-to-face to deepen those relationships at Summit.
